Mercedes-Benz recommends brake pads be replaced every 50,000 miles. But that number may be sooner or later depending on braking habits and driving conditions.

The friction caused by braking causes fine shavings from the brake pads to come off. The more frequently or more aggressively you apply the brakes, the sooner they may need replacing.
